The index is organized from A to Z and lists scopes we carry; however, some may have to be ordered. Note: Click on images for more ordering information. If there is no order button at the end of the chain, we are temporarily out of stock, so you cannot order this for immediate shipment, but we can save a product for you and send it as soon as it arrives. KALEIDOSCOPE GUIDE:
Here are some internal details for kaleidoscopes to help in your selection. Traditionally, there are two basic front surface mirror alignments fabricated into hand made Kaleidoscopes.

The first alignment is a two mirror fabrication which results in a central image, which we will refer to as a mandala.

The second alignment is a three mirror alignment which results in images throughout the entire field if view of the mirrors. The alignments are triangular within the body of the kaleidoscope. An example fof a 3 MIRROR scope we offer: is3 mirror GERMAN INSPIRED(MONIKA/ULRICH KARL'S) KALEIDOSCOPES FROM GERMANY $54-$80

The angle of the mirrors determines how many 'POINTS' in the resulting mandala image you see through the eye piece at the back of the scope. For example; a 22.5 degree arrangement (which is evenly divisible of 360 degees) would result in eight point star mandulla also referred to as sixteen fold symmetry. This produces a very nice image for your kaleidoscope. A specific example of DURETTE'S RHAPSODY IN BLUE,A 2 MIRROR scope we OFFER with a :9 POINT MANDULLA. An example of a 6 point, 2 mirror, parlor scope of Aids Ice Flower(custom order) is:6 POINT MANDULLA. See also Kaleidoscopes for Collectors category for fine, handcrafted artist produced scopes.

OUR HISTORY:
Our history involves over two decades of business experience at shops you may have visited. We started making kaleidoscopes at Wisconsin's #1 tourist attraction, the House on the Rock. From there, we added a second store at Mineral Point, Wisconsin, and a third in Galena, Illinois. Karl then opened one in Red Wing, Minnesota as he attended college, as well as a kiosk at the Mall of America.

With this wealth of experience, we can suggest kaleidoscopes in various price ranges, or help you find a rare "scope." We're knowledgeable about designing and building kaleidoscopes, having done so for many years.

We are proudly a member of the Brewster Society and regularly attend events to keep abreast of the latest and greatest designs. We feel we try our best to understand the entire scope industry because we've made them, taught how to make them, and sold them for over twenty years. We've even traveled the world extensively in search of new and old kaleidoscopes, which are rather rare. We appear in various kaleidoscope books and publications as a shop featuring fine kaleidoscopes, and as Cozy Baker (the recognized authority) says in her book, "Kaleidoscope Renaissance", we offer classes and materials,--but please call ahead. Our biggest goal is to offer and maintain customer service and satisfaction.
